New User Training


New user training is required training for new network users, Kaleidescope, and CARS application. For questions regarding these trainings please contact the Help Desk at ext. 3950 or email  helpdesk@daytonastate.edu. Unless otherwise notified, all classes will be held on the Daytona Campus, Building 210, Room 103A from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.

New User Training - Required for all network users.
Introduction to Windows 2000, XP, desktop options, network log in ID and password. In this training, users will also access Outlook (E-Mail) and learn how to send e-mails, add attachments, customize the main mail window, etc.

Getting Started with CARS - Required for users accessing the CARS system. Introduction to the CARS system, logging in/out, system options including printing controls and name queries.
Pre-requisite: Completion of New User Training

Introduction to Kaleidescope - Required for users of Daytona State Kaleidoscope application. Learn what Kaleidoscope is and get an overview of the components within it and how to use them such as Purchase Order Information, Krystallizer, and Technology Requests.
