Aqua Aerobics “Stretch & Twist”
This water exercise program provides a total body workout for those of moderate to advanced fitness levels. Classes include exercises for aerobic conditioning, flexibility, and strength training. Aqua Aerobics offers a safe and refreshing way to exercise for all ages. Cost $3 per class.

Cardio Basics
An entry level cardio circuit class that offers low impact and resistance training - a great class for beginners. Instructor: Nellie Morris. Mondays & Wednesdays, $30 for six-week session.

Spring Swim Lessons - Session I
From 18-months to adult, the American Red Cross "Learn to Swim" programs at Daytona State College are designed to teach all ages to swim and be safe around aquatic environments. The programs are broken into two levels, starting with water adjustment skills and advancing to competitive stroke perfection. Water safety is stressed and taught to all participants. All instructors have been certified as American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Pre-registration is required, prices range from $40 to $45 for the four-week course. Classes held Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Lifeguarding Couse
Whether you want to pursue as a season or career opportunity, the America Red Cross certified lifeguarding course offered at Daytona State College provides the necessary training to help individuals develop rescue skills and be trained in First Aid, CPR and AED. Participants will learn how to prevent accidents through knowledge of lifeguarding, proper use of equipment and realization of responsibilities. The course begins on Wednesday, May 16 at 5 p.m. with a pre-test activity in order to access ability to swim 300 yards and retrieve a brick from the bottom of the pool using a surface dive, four-hours of instruction immediate follow. The course continues on Wednesday, May 16, from 6 to 10 p.m.; Friday, May 18, from 5:30 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and concludes Sunday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Course fee is $200 (discounted to $125 for Daytona State College students) and requires a $75 non-refundable deposit.
