Introduction to Florida’s Baker Act

Explanation of the intent and process of the Florida Mental Health Act commonly known as the Baker Act. Learn the qualifying criteria for the involuntary psychiatric examination to occur, the professionals that initiate the Baker Act and the two Baker Act receiving facilities in Volusia/Flagler counties.
 

Strength Training Considerations for the Senior Population
Saturday, June 23, 2012 (9 am – 11 am) – Building 320, Room 541

Course focus will be the benefits of strength training: weight training exercises plus modifications for older adults and those with special conditions.
