Registration Information for Manufacturing Courses
To reserve your seat or for more information call Joanne Parker at (386) 506-4224. Participants will register and pay at the first class. E-mail request's are available for the next offering of a TBD course. If you would like to take a course that is TBD , or would like a course offered at your company, please e-mail Frank Mercer.
You can pay at the first class:

- by check (payable to Daytona State College and including your driver license number)
- by credit card (MasterCard or VISA)
- by company purchase order
Daytona State College reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet minimum enrollment.
Directions to Advance Technology Center
From Interstate 95 take LPGA east to Williamson Blvd. The campus is about 1/2 mile North of LPGA Blvd. on Williamson Blvd on the west side of the road.
Directions to Daytona Beach Campus
From Interstate 95 take International Speedway Blvd. (U.S. 92) east approximately 3 miles.
The campus is on the north side of the roadway.
Certified Production Technician Training Program
This 64 contact hour course focuses on the core skills and knowledge needed by production workers. The course also prepares the participant to take the four Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification examinations. Each participant receives a printed and bound workbook for each unit.

Unit 1: Workplace Essentials—Provides training on the workplace skills needed in the manufacturing community to sustain the day-to-day success of their organizations.
Unit 2: Safety Awareness—Provides baseline knowledge and skills needed to maintain a safe and productive work environment and ensure the safe use of equipment in the workplace.
Unit 3: Production and Processes—Develops existing knowledge and skills needed for the production of products to meet customer needs while ensuring the manufacturing process meets business requirements.
Unit 4: Maintenance Awareness—Provides the core knowledge of preventive maintenance and enhances existing skills in the identification and performance of equipment maintenance used in the production process.
Unit 5: Quality Assurance—Enhances existing knowledge and skills needed to maintain quality and implement continuous improvement processes, and ensure that product and process variances meet quality standards.
Assessment and Certification
The MSSC offers four computer-based assessments. An individual earns a certificate for each test they pass and earns the full MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) Certification when they pass all four tests. Daytona State College is a certified MSSC Assessment Center. Additional fees apply for assessment and certification.
