Error messages when trying to access Online Orientation
You may get a message that pops up indicating that you cannot currently complete Orientation at this time. It may be for any number of reasons. The error message is repeated below to help you troubleshoot.
You are currently being prevented from completing Online Orientation.
Please read the following information to determine why you are being prevented.
- You are new and your admissions application has not been processed yet
You can only access the online version of the Orientation once you have completed an admissions application (either in person or online) and a student number has been created for you. This process is immediate if you applied in person, but can take up to 48 hours if you applied online.You need to re-admit - If you have missed two major semesters (Fall/Spring - Summer does not count), you will need to re-admit in the Admissions Office. You will need to complete this process prior to completing Orientation. You can check your status on the initial LOGIN page of FalconNet Online Services. Your status will appear in a box under your name.Orientation Already Completed
- If you have completed the Orientation within the last year and have maintained continuous enrollment (registered for at least one class each semester), you have satisfied the orientation requirement and are not required to repeat it. You are required to repeat the orientation only if you have missed two major semesters (which requires you to re-admit in admissions) or have changed your major.Your Major
- If you are in one of the exempt majors and are attempting online orientation, you will get an error message indicating that you are not required to complete. You can check to verify that your major classification is correct by going to FalconNet Online Services and selecting Your Student Information under the Records and Registration option. Your major will be displayed. If you major is incorrect, you will need to correct it prior to completing orientation.

Online Orientation and Computer Availability
The online Orientation is available to you through Online Student Services. You will need to login and enter your PIN number. Then simply select Orientation option. You do not need to come to campus or use a specific computer. If you have access to the Internet, you have access to our online Orientation!
We do have computers available on all campuses for you to complete online Orientation if you do not have computer access at home. These are located in the Library, and in many Student Services offices such as the Falcon Center, the Academic Support Center, and Career Services.
